Final results (BWN)

My final results for week 9 are:

NO3 - 0 to 10
NO2 - 0
GH - 0
KH - 3 to 6
pH - 6.4 to 6.8
From my point of view the nitrate is still a bit too high because when looking after fish we don’t want any nitrate because it could lead to algae resulting in the fish getting sick and our plant dying.

My plant growth was as follows:

Isolated

total root length - 625mm
plant height - 260mm
number of new shoots - 11

None isolated

total root length - 403mm
plant height - 65mm
number of new shoots - 4
So as you can see the isolated plant did better than the non isolated plant, this could be because the fish was maybe stress because of seeing the other fish.

  1. That is a good point about the isolated plant and fish. That could be because the non-isolated fish was not able to provide nutrients for the plant but also take into account where the isolated plant and fish was situated like the nearer to the window maybe.
