Our very own Nature Reserve!!!

We visited the Cape Flats Nature reserve awhile ago. I learned so much about what the reserve is composed of and i realized how very lucky we are to have this right at our footsteps.
Gwen, out tutor, took us around the Reserve, not to mention, it was very hot that day but she showed us the important areas of the reserve. We made our way to the Wetland which is a man made and is seen as a disturbance.  There is also the burnt area. This was a terrible unplanned fire that destroyed the vegetation.

We also identified areas of Thickets and Fynbos. Thickets are higher up and are very leafy. Fynbos is more in the slopes below Thickets. The Nature reserve should be visited by more students, they will be amazed at what we have in our own back yard.
