Water chemistry

The table below shows the water chemistry of my fish during the past six weeks under the experiment. In the first week the nitrates were 10mg/l but as the weeks progressed it decreased which is a good thing for the survival of the fish. The nitrites seem to be constant all through the week with no change. The pH of the water in the fishes was first under 6.4 which were too acidic for the fish but as the weeks went by it was in the ranges of about 6.4 to 6.8 of which was good for the fish.

During week 4, the test strips were changed from Sera to Tetra and these are the difference in readings of these tests strips. As we can see from below, the old test strip didn’t give much of exact values on the things that were tested in the water of the fish whereas the new one showed the exact values or ranges.
